Reef Hoops with Tourmalines

Inspired by a trip to the Maldives in early 2021, handmade in our London studio using solid recycled 9ct gold and tourmalines, our Under The Sea collection encapsulates the spirit of the ocean. 

From the moment Adriana caught her first glimpse of the Indian Ocean and a sprawling group of islands, the place captured her heart. The striking forward-facing hoops, set with seven (on each earring) oval tourmalines in a rainbow of oceanic blue to green hues, are a statement set. 

To create the texture, Adriana imprinted pieces of coral found on the beach in wax, before making a mould and filling it with solid recycled gold, then setting it with the tourmalines. 

Stones: Seven round tourmalines, in blues and greens 

Properties: Both deeply spiritual stones, the blue tourmaline brings peace, freeing the mind and enabling a deep meditative state, while the green tourmaline is protective, healing and rejuvenating — similar to the effect of the ocean.
